Over the next few days we will be putting up links to skiing events. KOPSC has quite a few local skiing events, so you are invited to join us. Though KOPSC is heavily involved in non-skiing activities, ski/ride events are definitely the glue of the club.

The larger week-long trips tend to fill up early, as they are offered to previous year members in August of the prior year, so have limited availability to late signers-up.

Western Trips with availability
The Taos, NM trip Feb 21-28 above has a couple of spaces available(as of 10Dec08) - contact the trip leader.

The Snowbasin & Powder Mtn. Utah March 14-21 trip also has some room for expansion - contact the trip leader.

We also have Banff, Canada & Vail CO trips running, but at this time there is not extra space on those trips.

Eastern Trips
Our Okemo, VT bus trip Jan 9-11 is filled as far as the bus goes, but there is a carpool contingent developing. We'll post a more focused meetup message about that, but you could contact the trip leader now.

The Killington, VT bus trip Jan 28-Feb 1 trip has some spaces available. This is a four-day trip also called Winter Carnival - a bunch of ski clubs from the Eastern PA Ski Council go up to ski/ride, party, race, and have a general all-around good time. Meetup member Cheryl http://skiing.meetup.... is the trip leader for this.

Local Trips - Mental Health Days
Elk Mtn Jan 16. This is a Friday, the club rents a bus which will leave from Plymouth Meeting Mall. Included in the bus trip is the bus, lift ticket, a beer/wine/pizza party after skiing, and snacks on the bus. Many people just drive up for this trip, you can join us if you wish.

Camelback Feb. 13. This is a Friday, the club rents a bus which will leave from Plymouth Meeting Mall. This is working like the Elk trip, with lift ticket, a beer/wine/pizza party after skiing, and snacks on the bus. Camelback is an easier drive than Elk, you can join us there if it's more convenient to provide your own transportation.

Note that all extended overnight trips require club membership for participation.

The board has voted to extend a $5 membership discount to Meetup members.
