Learn to Ski
EPSC (Eastern Pa Ski Council) runs this great program at Spring Mt. Ski area every year. For anyone who is a member of one of the EPSC clubs, there are free ski/board lessons for all ability levels available for 5-6 Mon. nights after New Years. Last year the lift tickets were just $12 - you can't afford to stay home at that rate!

The instructors are a mix of volunteers from the different clubs, some PSIA instructors are sometimes mixed in.


Gate Training
There is also a gate-training side to this. Again, participants must be a member of an EPSC member club. This is pretty weather-dependent, but some years it has been a great thing(I have personally participated in this at least 7-8 times). KOPSC'S own fast-racer Ron Konsza is one of the instructors for this. There is a $25 additional cost for this program - as there is a gate replenishment requirement since we destroy about a gate each session. Last year the lift tickets cost that same $12 though, and the racers usually hit a local spot after the gates session.

Ski racing practice is a really good way to advance your ski technique.

Stay tuned for more precise details as to the start date for these programs. Learn to ski often starts up a week before the gates training.
