… Activities will include day hikes at the many local green areas around the Twin Cities, skiing (both alpine and Nordic), geocaching, one or two weekends a year up North (like BWCWA and SHT), and anything else the membership would like to do. If there is enough interest, I hope to one day expand this to become a non-profit like Veteran Expeditions, but with more local Minnesota interest.

This group is for runners, bikers, skiers, orienteers and athletes who don't stick to the road. We like the call of the wild, the unknown, the rough terrain, discovery and variety. Meetups may include small trail runs, xc ski races, hill training.... and yes, it's even permissible to have a road event in here - maybe a long bike ride into the countryside. Hiking, climbing... also okay. Beyond that... well, we will see. ALL levels, from beginner to advanced, are very very welcome.

Outwoods, being a strictly volunteer, non-profit organization, is a vehicle for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allies (GLBTA) community and their friends in Minnesota and adjacent states to publicize quality, enjoyable, non-competitive, outdoor recreational activities.
